Today I received an email telling me that the Charline Gloyd McNabb I had listed at Morton Cemetery was the only daughter of Carrie Nation and her first husband Dr. Gloyd . The following is her obiturary. Read more information on Carrie if you like at http://www.kshs.org/exhibits/carry/carry5.htm

Her mother married David Nation and moved to Richmond where the deceased was reared and married A.D. McNabb. Five children survive: A.D. of Washington, D.C.; and John McNabb of San Antonio; Mrs. Roscoe Fitch of Herman, Neb.; Mrs. C.O. Tourist steps into history at hallowed Boston cemetery

Boston ....
This is one of the most fantastic cemeteries in the US. History lays here. I could of spent hours just wandering through out it. I wanted to see what I could find about it today so went to http://www.google.com/ and put Boston Cemetery in search. I came across this article dated February 11, 2009 and listed as " Tourist steps into history at hallowed Boston cemetery ". You can read the whole story at http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2009/02/tourist_steps_i.html

Imagine wandering through this cemetery taking pictures and all of a sudden you fall into an underground area.
" The ground gave way, and the woman fell hip-deep into a hidden granite stairwell leading down into an unmarked brick crypt. " Luckily she was unhurt.
I would still be having nightmares.
Some where in this cities old cemeteries I have a distant grandmother buried. I would love to find where she is buried but I do not want to drop in and visit.
Thanks for stopping by .. Grace

What a beautiful set of old tombstones I found in Orchard Cemetery here in Texas. At a later date two small new flat gravestones with their names and the dates was added. The old graves are fading so it is a good protection. Generations from now we will still know who is buried in this small quiet cemetery just outside of Houston.
